BIO:

Thirty-seven year old JunkyKid aka Paul Afong Jr. was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has studied Design and illustration at The College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota. He resides in Minneapolis with his girlfriend Briana, daughter Makayla, Ava (Makayla's half-sister), and a big fat cat named Marmalade.

JunkyKid has worked in Minneapolis for the last eleven years as a graphic designer and has worked on brands such as ConAgra Foods, Nabisco, Kraft Foods, General Mills, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Moog Music, Arizant Healthcare, Yamaha, AKG Acoustics and Vic Firth just to name a few.

JunkyKid’s urban cartoon style art is a steady stream of strange and wacky characters that all come together in the end. Using found objects like discarded cardboard, wood and a variety of paper as his canvas, gives his work an organic quality and a sense of whimsy. He has shown and sold his artwork in his home town of Minneapolis and online to people all over the world.
